This week's Frog Street Curriculum for our threes has its focus on snakes. Their word of the week is "slither". After talking about this word, they brought the idea to the table with snakes for art time. They practiced their shapes as they glued them onto their slithery creatures. Lots of squeals & giggles during this one!
This week our toddler focus is gingerbread men! They are working on their cognitive skills by dressing them & coloring them. They also have been doing a lot of Gingerbread Hokey Pokey! We have had a lot of spring showers lately, and we cannot wait to see the flowers bloom in nicer weather. Today Preschool Two did an April showers craft. Take a peek at how they turned out!
Our Pre-K 2 friends are getting smarter by the day. Each week the class is introduced to 4 new sight words. They are up to 40+ words currently. We are so excited to see where the next few months before graduation take these kids!
We are so thankful to be on the upside of winter. The classes are enjoying the fresh air & Vitamin D so much. We are looking forward to warmer days ahead!
This week our Frog Street Curriculum is using Three Billy Goats Gruff to teach in many aspects. Using social skills, the class talks about what makes them feel afraid & how kindness matters. Using our cognitive skills. the class can put the goats in order & using language skills, they can talk about how it's tough to be a troll. After learning about this tale, Preschool 2 spent time making their own goats to display in the class!
