Ant Farm Facts

Today Preschool 1 learned all about ant farms. Ant farms teach children the valuable knowledge they'll need about the world & habitats in general. Since ants are so different than humans, children will get a better picture of what other species have to go through in life. The class will continue to learn all about ants this week & the many ways they are useful.

Happy Little Ones

Floor play is an important part of normal infant development – it helps to strengthen the baby's neck and shoulder muscles, and is the first step in developing movement skills such as rolling and crawling. We love watching our little ones as they near their first steps towards mobility.

Toddler Activities

Our Toddler 2 class read a terrific story about Auntie Violet & her wagon during circle time. They discovered all the items they could carry easily in the wagon & even talked about the color red. Afterwards the painted their own wagons & made a wonderful display on the wall in their class.

Buzz Buzz!

Our Toddler 1 class had a great circle time this morning! After reading a curriculum based book about bumblebees & other insects, they created their own bumblebee artwork. Each toddler was able to use their fine motor skills by grabbing small pieces of paper & gluing them to the bees. They loved it!

Spring is in the Air!

Being outside gives infants and toddlers lots of time and opportunity to develop their large motor skills, to freely crawl, toddle, walk, climb, run, and move their bodies through space in new and different ways. We love seeing their smiles & they love the fresh air & freedom even more!
