Let's Go Fishing!

We are enjoying Camp Academy week so much! Today our friends practiced their skills by using fishing poles. They all had a ball making their catches. Lots of giggles & fun!

Fine Motor Practice

 Fine motor skills are crucial for preschoolers as they enable them to perform everyday tasks like dressing, feeding themselves, and writing, fostering independence and contributing to their overall development. These skills, which involve small muscles in the hands and fingers, also support cognitive and academic growth by facilitating activities like drawing, cutting, and manipulating small objects. Our preschoolers were able to practice their fine motor skills this week using Cheerios to decorate their starfish. They did so well using their little pinchers as they placed them on their artwork. Fun & learning all in one makes it a win!

Panning For Gold

One of our activities for Wild West theme for this week is panning for gold. The kids all had an opportunity to explore our sensory bin filled with gold. They were able to use strainers to collect their treasure & then count how many pieces of gold they acquired. Lots of fun as always with sensory play!

Fresh Air & Fun

We have been taking any & all advantage of getting outside as weather permits! Our toddlers had an addition to their playground last week- a huge caterpillar tunnel. The kids love it! Climbing through it helps develop their gross motor skills & it also helps with socialization as they learn how to interact & take turns climbing thru. This addition is a win!

Kindergarten Boot Camp Projects

Our Pre-K kids have really been enjoying Kindergarten Boot Camp! The teachers have introduced the class to home projects. This week they were to make a poster about what they want to be when they grow up. Each child had an opportunity to present it to the class. They all did a great job!

Weather Wonders

 This week we're learning all about the weather! Preschool 3 and Pre-K 1 focused on different types of clouds with some arts and crafts, and sensory play. Pre-K 2 learned all about the weather cycle.
